Little Treasures Antiques and Vintage was born out of a life long love of shopping and collecting, two things I do very well. I've always said if you do something well you should do it a lot.
Along with my husband Tim, I started Little Treasures Antiques as a part time business in 1996. With our combined shopping and collecting skills working overtime it didn't take long before we were selling in a downtown Long Beach antique store, had a warehouse full of merchandise and doing vintage fashion expos in both Santa Monica and San Francisco as well as a few local antique and textile shows. In early 2001, after 22 years working in managed health care and 7 years as an operations manager for a furniture manufacturer, I turned Little Treasures into my full time business.
I currently do about 25 shows a year and operate the Little Treasures website. It's a busy schedule but I love doing shows. I particularly love the vintage fashion and textile shows. They are a faster pace with more energy and excitement than the antique shows I do and I meet a lot of wonderful people that share the passion for vintage fashion. My true love, of course, is vintage fashion from the 20's through the 40's. The style, design and glamour of those eras's are my favorites and my personal passion is costume jewelry and purses, little works of art. It's the excitement of the hunt for new "little treasures" and the thrill of finding them that keeps me going and makes me know that I will never stop searching.
